This blows my mind, since I could not have done this prior to having a J-Pouch. My current level of energy is amazing. I don’t feel drained and exhausted anymore, so I’m pretty excited about feeling a quality of life I’ve long since forgotten.

Thank you everyone for your amazing support and I feel so blessed for being able to share this huge overhaul in my life. I can’t wait to see what I’m capable of when I’m done with recovery.

My wife and I will be riding in the “five boros” bike tour where they close down the streets of NYC and thousands of bikes take to the road. Am I bragging? Yes! But dammit, I’ve been through hell in the last year, so I wanted to let you know that in just a few short months after my final surgery I’ve been skiing, biking, hiking, walking, running, camping, snowshoeing, gardening, building houses and building websites.

Sure, I’m a little concerned about sharing a hotel room with 4 other people (I still get up on average 2-3 times a night) and some other things, but hey, you gotta live your life. So here’s to it, see you next week! Cheers.

A fellow J-Poucher (Jeffrey in LA) wrote us a personal email and asked us the following question. Since we didn’t have an answer for him, we thought we post the question here and see if anyone has any thoughts:

Jeffrey asked:

A friend invited me to go horseback riding but I’m worried it make me have to empty the pouch. You know, the rocking motion, the occasional smack of the saddle catching you in the butt. Just wanted to know if any one on your site with a pouch has gone back to riding.

Well, anyone have any thoughts? I think we can answer this with any activity that might have a rocking motion like riding a motorcycle or training for NASA space flight mission.
