Secondly, we’ve been having a bunch of spam comments posted to this site. To combat this, I’ve added a silly little math question (see image below) you need to answer before your comment will appear. We all realize that your comments and the running dialog is integral to the success of this blog, so if for some reason your comment doesn’t appear immediately (it should now) please be patient, or repost it. Keep the comments coming, they’re really great!

UCstory to Jpouch Life has been nominated for Best Medical/Health Issues Blog of 2008 by the Weblog Awards. There were many great blogs vying for the chance to be nominated. We are 1 of 10 nominees and feel very proud that people are willing to acknowledge the issues we talk about on the blog.

Vote here for best medical/health issues blog between January 5 – 12 (you can vote once a day). We need all your support because this is a great way to create awareness for the reality of Jpouch living. Alone with the nomination, and even more if we won, this opportunity is an excellent way of exposing more people to realities of IBD, colorectal surgery and living life without a colon. The more exposure we all receive, the more we can remove the stigma revolving around this way of life.
