Mark, I will have my takedown surgery on January 28th 2010. I’ve had my ileostomy since October 22, 2009. I wanted you to know I have followed your progress for a while and it has been a source of inspiration and comfort to me and my wife. I would like an update on your progress. Congratulations Mark! So glad to know that long terms results are awesome! By the way, thank you so very much for your help this summer. Second surgery was on August 3rd and so far so good! Seriously, couldn’t have done it without your hearing your story and having you for support.

Colin, Just try to remain as positive as possible through the process. There will be some hard times but I found all of it was worth my renewed health now. I was so ready to be done being sick that anything that happened as a surgery repercussion seemed trival.

That’s awesome, Mark. I’m getting my first surgery scheduled soon at the Cleveland Clinic, so I can only *dream* that I’ll end up as well as you seem to be doing.
